Company Overview

We offer waste disposal services which aid in the recycle of resources and the preservation of the environment.
Waste is melted at high temperatures (1,800°C) to produce molten slag (artificial stone) and molten metal. Molten slag is primarily used as a roadbed material, and molten metal contains rare metals such as gold, silver, copper, platinum, and palladium. The molten metal is refined into various metals at Kosaka Smelting & Refining Co., Ltd., an affiliated company in Akita Prefecture, before being returned to the market. We are a subsidiary of DOWA ECO-SYSTEM CO., LTD., and began operations in the Iwaki-yotsukura Central Industrial Park in 2016.

Company Strengths & Characteristics

●Only a few companies in Japan perform melting treatment to recycle incineration ash as a resource after burning waste. Two of those such companies are the DOWA Group’s MELTEC IWAKI and MELTEC (Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture).
●Using proprietary melting furnaces, we manufacture artificial stone and molten metal. By melting the ash in a high-temperature reduction atmosphere and then slowly cooling and crystallizing it in ambient air, we can produce high-quality artificial stone with strength equivalent to natural stone and minimal heavy metal content, along with molten metal as a byproduct. This technology helps us work towards a recycling-oriented society by recycling incineration ash which is normally disposed of in landfills.
