Company Overview

Our company started as a manufacturer of carbon brushes with the foundation of Kondo Carbon Kogyosho in 1941. We went on to lead the industry in the development of isotropic graphite through hydrostatic press forming methods, and in 1974 built the Ohnohara plant (Kagawa Prefecture/Site of current Manufacturing Technology Center) and successfully began the mass production of the product. In 1985 we built our Takuma plant (Kagawa Prefecture / Site of current
Takuma Office) and fortified our production capabilities. Then, in April 1999, we constructed our Iwaki plant in order to support customers in eastern Japan. Today we are one of the world’s largest and leading manufacturers. Domestically, we have material manufacturing and processing locations primarily in Kagawa Prefecture, with sales offices located throughout Japan. Internationally, we have founded local corporations in North America, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia to expand our operations globally. We have established systems of direct sales in all regions and work to understand our customers’ needs. Our products are utilized in a wide range of different fields.
