Company Overview

Founded in 1963, our company has now used its high-level methods to conduct clean smelting for over 60 years of operation. In 1980, we began thermal recycling by recovering and utilizing the thermal energy generated during the smelting process. In 2013, we started processing various E-Scrap from the print circuit boards of home appliances, PCs, smartphones, and other electronic devices containing high concentrations of valuable metals. Through such efforts we contribute to creating a sustainable, circular society.

Company Strengths & Characteristics

As the only copper smelter in eastern Japan, we provide a stable supply of Copper Cathode and copper alloys. Additionally, we play a vital role as a key hub for automotive and electronic recycling, handling materials such as ASR(Automobile Shredder Residue) from scrapped vehicles and e-scrap.

Future Prospects & Areas of Interest

As part of the Mitsubishi Materials Group, we plan to maintain our copper smelting operations while strengthening and expanding our recycling business, aiming for an optimal mix of copper smelting and recycling.
