Company Overview
Able Energy Limited Liability Company was founded in February 2015 with investments from Able Corporation, which handles power plant maintenance, and development, construction, and maintenance of renewable energy in Fukushima Prefecture, as well as Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., and Kyudenko Corporation.
In January 2020, we began construction on the 5.4 ha Fukushima Iwaki Biomass Power Plant at the Yoshima Industrial Park, and the facilities began operation on April 1st, 2022.
We operate a wood biomass power plant with a max output of 112,000 kW.

Company Strengths & Characteristics
As of April 2022, we run one of the largest wood biomass power plants in Japan, generating approximately 770 million kWh annually (equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 250,000 households*1)
and supply power to the Tohoku region.
Our plant generates electricity using plant-based biomass in the form of wood pellets sourced from overseas. Only certified, legal, and sustainable wood and wood products are used, resulting in an annual
reduction of approximately 333,000 tons*2 of CO2.

Future Prospects & Areas of Interest
The soot generated during the operation of the power plant is currently treated as industrial waste, but we aim to work towards its reuse as a valuable resource in the future.
